121 Santa Fe Ave, Unit A · Point Richmond, CA 94801

The neighborhood

Point Richmond is a village, not a district.

A few square blocks of restored Victorians, a tunnel to the shoreline, and a small commercial strip that people actually use — and this unit sits one block off it. Coffee, dinner, groceries, art stores, a play, all without moving your car.

In the evening you can take in a show at the fifty-seat Masquers Playhouse or find live music at the local bars and restaurants. A mile up, the Point Richmond hills hold a maze of trails with three-bridge views — the Golden Gate, the Richmond–San Rafael, and the Bay Bridge.

That is the rare part. Most of what rents at this price in the East Bay puts you in a car for all of it.

Getting around

A bus, a ferry, a bridge — or none of them.

There is a bus stop one block away, about fifteen minutes to BART. The Richmond ferry terminal is a short drive or bike ride and runs to the San Francisco Ferry Building — a commute you can do without a car at all.

Westbound, the Richmond–San Rafael Bridge puts Marin about fifteen minutes away; eastbound, I-580 connects straight to the I-80 corridor. Point Richmond is one of the few places you can live in Marin's orbit without paying Marin's rent.

Furnished, or not

Staged — and exactly as it is.

Every staged image below started as the empty photograph beside it. Furniture was added and nothing else: no wall repainted, no appliance upgraded, no view invented through a window. Compare them side by side, then judge the apartment on the unfurnished set further down.

Photos

Every room, unfurnished.

Photographed August 30, 2026, after the rebuild. Nothing staged from here on.

The layout

One bedroom, but two rooms to work with.

121 Santa Fe is a triplex built in 1910 — and, in the way of old Point Richmond, it did not start out as apartments. Unit A now takes the entire left side of the building: long, light, windows in every room, and rebuilt to the studs this year. The front door opens onto a private concrete patio behind an iron gate, facing a beautifully restored 1901 home across the street.

Inside, the front is an open living room with high ceilings, opening to the kitchen across a granite breakfast bar. Behind it, a separate office — its own closet, its own window, and large enough to serve as a second sleeping room if that is what you need. The bedroom sits at the back, with two closets.

For anyone working from home, this is the practical difference between a one-bedroom and a place you can actually live and work in.

New in 2026

Rebuilt, not refreshed.

The unit was taken back to the studs this summer. Everything below is new this year — including the roof over it.

The last tenant

She stayed ten years.

I had the pleasure of renting from Scott for 10 years and couldn't recommend them more highly. Throughout my entire tenancy, communication was always easy, clear, and responsive. Scott was a reliable and considerate landlord, and I truly appreciated how well they managed the property and relationship over the years.
